Reduced Mobility Service
Useful information for travel by passengers with reduced mobility
Our crews are trained to assist passengers with reduced mobility; on board every ship there is a dedicated crew member assigned to assist passengers who cannot walk unaided.
To allow us to provide proper assistance to PRM passengers, please request specific information about onboard facilities before boarding, contacting our ticket offices, the call centre or the onboard staff, and please arrive at the boarding area well in advance, indicating your need for specific assistance.
In this regard, please be reminded that, pursuant to European Regulation EC 1177/2010:
-
Carriers and terminal operators, in their respective areas of competence, shall provide assistance under Article 10 to disabled persons or persons with reduced mobility, provided that:
- the carrier or terminal operator is notified, by any available means including electronic means or SMS, of the need for the person's assistance at least forty-eight hours before the assistance is required, unless the passenger and the carrier or terminal operator agree on a shorter period;
-
the disabled person or person with reduced mobility presents themselves in person at the port or at the agreed meeting point as indicated in Article 12, paragraph 3:
- at a time set in writing by the carrier, provided that this is no more than sixty minutes before the published boarding time, or
- if no boarding time has been set, at least sixty minutes before the published departure time, unless the passenger and the carrier or terminal operator agree on a shorter period.
PRM facilities of each Medmar ship can be consulted in the section Our Fleet .
